HP Government set to go green with electric bus

Himachal Pradesh government is set to purchase 30 electric buses to run on various routes in Shimla town. The government has placed orders with cooperation of Union Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Ministry. It has placed order for 30 9 metre-long buses while the remaining 20 would be of 7 metres in length. The cost of each nine-metre-long bus was Rs 76.97 lakh, with a capacity of 31 seats.

The electric vehicles are being purchased, after following all directions and norms of the central government.
