Himachal Pradesh Power Corp is setting up the 48 MW hydro electric power project in Jakhla village in Churah Tehsil in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The project will be a run-off-the-river scheme on Chanju nallah, a left bank tributary of Baira nallah in Siul river in Ravi basin.
The project will utilize all the tributaries water for power generation. However, the terrain is so difficult to move construction materials to the project site. The corp is considering ropeways to move transportation materials. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 234 million.
